How Open Kargo certifies a cargo
A cargo can be listed on Open Kargo before it is certified. It can take bookings, show prices and collect reviews only after our team has checked it. This is what we check.
What we check
- The company
- Its legal form, registration and tax numbers, its owners and its business address.
- The person in charge
- The person responsible for the company, with an identity document.
- The warehouse
- The address of its main warehouse, with photos.
- Each shipping method
- Express, air, sea, road and rail are reviewed one by one. A cargo is certified only for the methods we approved.
- Lanes and volumes
- The lanes it says it serves and how much it ships each month.
- Travellers carrying parcels
- For an individual express carrier: identity, a selfie, proof of address and proof of travel.
Who decides
A member of the Open Kargo team reviews every file and approves or refuses it, method by method. A refused cargo is not listed at all.
What a certified cargo's page shows
- The date it was first certified.
- Each shipping method it is certified for, with its date.
- The end date, when our reviewer set one. After it, the badge goes away until the cargo is checked again.
What the badge does not promise
Certification means the checks above were passed on the dates shown. It does not guarantee every shipment, a delivery date or a price. Read the reviews from senders, compare several cargos and keep your receipts.
Something wrong?
If a certified cargo no longer matches what this page says, tell us. We can remove its badge or its listing.
